Who can claim tax refund?

Anyone who is a tourist from a non – EU country can claim the tax refund having spent the minimum amount of 200 PLN including VAT. The tax refund can be obtained provided that the purchased goods are taken outside the European Union within 30 days in the original package in hand luggage.

How do I obtain tax refund?

It is very easy! While purchasing the goods, make sure that the store participates in the tax free programme. Then, ask the staff for a TAX FREE form and fill in all the information required. Remember to save the receipt! At the border crossing the Customs Office can confirm on the TAX FREE document the export of goods from the European Union territory. Now you have it all! Tax may be refunded by an operator who provides the tax refund service (ex. cash refund offices or selected currency exchange offices).
